I have a Ford Radio/Single CD serial number M130839 but the code I have in the manual doesn't work I was wondering if someone could tell me what the correct code.

Hi there,

My stereo is also Locked and I'd love to know the code for it.

I can see that I need to know the serial number - how do I do this?

Ah, after some extensive research I have discovered that I need to remove the stereo from the car.

Do I need specialist keys to do this?

First thing to try , find a wire coat hanger.
Cut off the two corners, allowing at least 6 inches on each arm.
Bend wire until you can insert both ends into the ( same side) holes
Same with other piece of wire.

Push into holes firmly ( they should go in number of inches.)

You now have a radio with a couple of loops sticking out.
Push loops outwards and wriggle.
Radio not you , gentle pull.

I got the Stereo system out, and as far as I can see the serial number is:
M012484

How will I be able to enter the code which you give me? Currently the stereo displays a 'LOCK 10' message whenever I turn it on.

hold in button 6 while switching on the radio unit.
the display will change from lock10 to CODE.

( found out on another forum , does it work??)
