    The only thing I can suggest is to try 4688 once only (providing you have not used up any lives). If that does not work then I am afraid you may have to go elsewhere :(

    But the display shows only 3 --- blinking and ready for the code

    Your original request has not been ignored ! I and I suspect MoleRat are not able to de-code from this number.
    Is it a European model? if not then we cannot help. If it is then 90% start with M then 6 numbers and this is on a sticker on the back of the unit, if you have not done so, then remove the unit.
