Hello all, I have seen that many have gotten good answers from this forum, so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

I have a 2002 Volvo V40, VIN is YV1VW29692F875001. Radio serial number is V02080 10205258N. It is a Volvo HU-605 unit (made by Mitsubishi, I beleive).

I tried to get a code already from an online service using the VIN number, but the code they gave (2311) did not work. They have not yet responded after I gave the radio serial number, and I expect that they may not.
