If you can't get radio out, a local garage will probably do it for free, it takes a few seconds. I use the old metal coathangers or welding rods to make the U shaped tool which slides into the two holes either side of the radio. Or it could be a case of radio trim off and removing small screws, all depends on what radio is fitted to your focus. Being a ford, the serial should start with an "M". You wont miss it.

If you try pressing 6+1 or 6+2, on some models this will give you the serial. If not have a look at :http://www.fitaudio.com/index.php?CategoryID=13 your model may not be listed but most come out the same way, and there is NO NEED to buy any release keys, couple of slim screwdrivers or old wire coat hanger AND a little PATIENCE

incidentally, my radio does not say code but says error. Does this mean I won't be able to input a code. Its a Peugeot 106 Y plate.
