Thanks for the reply Wallbash, it is a 3 digit code.

The car is a 1990 Ford Sierra so not too common these days sadly!

hi yeah i removed the cd player got the m231100 off the side on the sticker
part no 98ap-18c815-ac
model 6000cd radio

rodge123 end of the road for us . If the radio does not accept the 2625 , means the radio has been recoded in the past . Sorry we can't help
