9392 is the right code for m539698.serial.
so please can you check the serial thats on the top/back/side of the radio.
Switch the radio on and the word CODE should appear in the display
Repeatedly press button 1 until the correct first digit of the code is displayed.
Repeatedly press button 2 until the correct second digit of the code is displayed.
Repeatedly press button 3 until the correct third digit of the code is displayed.
Repeatedly press button 4 until the correct fourth digit of the code is displayed.
Once the code has been correctly selected on the radio's display, press button 5 to enter.

the only CLARION code available for free (using a serial number ) from anywhere on the Internet
is if your radio also has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with
C 7000000 + + + + on a label somewhere on the metal casing.
If not then it will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service
or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)
inside your radio.

i use ford m calculator search google for ford radio code calculator and it should be in a forum called passionford read down half way there is a link eserviceinfo then you need to download Msvbvm50.dll to use it :-) i get the same code as hay88 so your unit must have the wrong serial number on it
