todolistsocd - I went down to the car to have another look and the stereo itself says it's a 6000 model... I had got the serial number etc from the manual that I got with the car so it looks like it HAS been replaced. Now, how do I get the stereo out to look for the serial number! I have tried (being a girl) to force it out with two kitchen knives......

    Hi,

I would say don't try to enter anymore codes until you get the stereo out.

I am sure you could try a metal coat hanger, see if that works!
If you can get it out, come back with the M serial and we'll sort you out.:)

But a wire coathanger works well. Cut the hanger at the corners to produce two loops.
Push well into the two holes ( 3 inches??) then push wire sideways slightly and pull loops towards you.
