Hi,
Like I said, I have double and treble checked and based on the M Serial you gave originally, the code I have supplied you with, is the actual code assigned to your radio when it left the factory.
There are a number of reasons for the code not working for example,
1. Human error i.e. either the select button or number 5 button was not pressed after the code to set the code to the radio
2. The stereo components themselves have been replaced within the original casing.
3. A previous owner of the vehicle had the stereo recoded.
The above three as far as I know, are the only reasons.
Suppose a previous owner of the vehicle had a similar problem to you but instead of taking the vehicle to Ford or to a reputable business instead, he might have taken it to a mate whom knew how to recode radios.
In this scenario, the radio would have been allocated a new code which no-one will be able to find out.
In this case, you have only two options,
Have the stereo recoded again or replace it.
Hope this helps!:)0 -

Your M serial number is too long and should only contain 6 numbers after the letter M.
Please check again.
Hope this helps!:)
Hiya,
it does help.
The serial should be;
M200177
PT no: (correct) 96FP-18k876-FC.
Apologies.

Ford V Codes are not availble on here or the net for free.
You would have to go to your dealer or radio decoder service.
Hope this helps!:)
Thanks anyway. Found out the code was written onto the outside of the radio anyway so it's working now
