yeah thats the serial from the sticker on the side of the unit itself,as it was bought in a scrapyard i dont have the actual book that came with that particular radio just the original one that was in the van.and i am pressing 5 alright after entering code.the radio stays on with the code iv entered displayed until i press 5 and you can hear a radio station come on for a second before the screen goes blank and then goes back to the code input screen.iv put this code in heaps of times now so if it wasnt the right one id imagine it would have locked by now.my head is melted trying to get it to work, any other ideas??thanks a million mate for trying to help :)

ok just to add to this,i was told on another site to hold 5 for 10 seconds after inputting the code to store it and now im getting "1 hour mode" after pressing it and then radio turns off???im rightly stumped

    ONE HOUR MODE
If the ignition is turned off or in the
ACC position when the radio is
    turned off, pressing the ON/OFF
button will switch on the system, but
it switches off automatically, after one
    hour
Press the on/off control. This will
also operate the unit for up to one
hour with the ignition turned off.
    The radio will switch off
    automatically after one hour
Hope this has helped you :j

Hi, looking into buying a used CD player for my Citroen Xsara, if the player has the relevant numbers (can you tell me which numbers I need) will I be able to get a code for it to work in my car?
post the radio make+model plus all the letters+numbers on any labels, barcodes or stamped in the metal casing.
This information can then be used to see if a code can be calculated
