havnt got a clue how to post a new thread, i cant find a link anywhere,so im jumping in here.
put old ford radio back in after theft of JVC one i bought, its a rds500 eon ...model no.is m435019.
Its has 2382 wrote on the back of it but alas this doesnt work and im now on the 30 minute time out thingy so thought i would check here0 -

Switch the radio on and the word CODE should appear in the display
Repeatedly press button 1 until the correct first digit of the code is displayed.
Repeatedly press button 2 until the correct second digit of the code is displayed.
Repeatedly press button 3 until the correct third digit of the code is displayed.
Repeatedly press button 4 until the correct fourth digit of the code is displayed.
Once the code has been correctly selected on the radio's display, press button 5 to enter.Hope this has helped you :j0 -

Hello again, i tried that but no joy. I guess i really need to get the model no of the stereo to be sure i have the right code.
Do you think it's worth disconnecting the battery (which is why i'm in this situation in the first place - changed a dead battery) for the stereo to reset itself, then do as you suggest?
