Car Radio Unlocking

Hello folks. I have in my possession a Grundig CAR 2002 (E) that is VERY QUIET, and the code I have doesn't work. I bought some software off the internet but it doesn't cover this model.

s/n GM020231631706
bar code -2 55431 0330 163170 6
on the top of the unit is a sticker with the legend UX2 in very big, very bold characters. Does this mean anything to anyone.
p.s. Vauxhall would like me to donate £25 for their services. I wouldn't.

Sorry , I can`t help as none of these Serial Numbers are in my GRUNDIG database.

Looks pretty genuine. How many chances to you get to enter the code.
I was on 3rds attempt, and now i've got a waitXXXX message where xxx was the last code i entered and its counting downwards on its own towards zero.
Was worried to powered radio off till i know whats going on.
