long delay caused by trying to get at the info!!
    Here goes:
Radio is a Philips (made in France), model (?) 22DC349/60B.
    part No. XQD101020; DigitalCombi 3BAND; FD 10 00 051172453; PROD NO: FD 1000051172453.
Then imprinted on the casing is the number: RG349(could be a B rather than a 9) FY1172453.
Other numbers I can see are:
    9022 213 49601;M/ch 172580; SMQ 248; 3111 115 3175.1; 1172453; E9948; and on the cassette flap it says Rover R660.
    Hope that all makes sense!
    Thanks a lot.:o

RG349FY1172453 is the required Serial Number and unfortunately it will not in any of the commercially available databases as access will be required to the original factory database.
This means that this code will only be available from your Main Rover Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service

    Sorry

hi, i have tried the code you said and it worked!! thank you for that as i now finally have radio... however, i have now come across another problem. when the car is on the radio works fine. even if i switch the radio of and then turn it on again it will work straight away. but if i take the key out the ignition and then turn the radio on again it asks for the code all over again. does anyone have any ideas? sorry to be a pain.

There are 2 battery supplies to your radio. The main one that only works via the ignition key and a "permanent" one that supplies the memory circuits (so that it remembers the code+stations etc )

I think the problem will be the "permanent" battery to your radio is missing ..possibly a loose socket connection /wiring or similar ..or maybe a blown fuse.

If you have recently removed the radio from the dashboard, then the chances are it will be a loose connection at the rear of the radio.

Wow thanks for a speedy reply :)

it now appears to say locked me thinks my child has been tampering am so gutted just passed me test. I guess I'm stuffed unless u have any tips; cheeky I know sorry but again thanks for the code

    What does the display say?

If it shows LOCK13 then the radio can only be reset by the Ford Dealer or Decoding Service...

If it shows LOCK10 then it can be reset .Let me know + I can send you a PM explaining how to do it.

If it says WAIT , then leave it SWITCHED ON...UNDISTURBED for an hour or two.

Yes...I`ll post an answer via your PM

Once reset , you will only have 3 more attempts before it fully locks so if it does not work after the FIRST attempt , check your Serial Number + Code again to make sure they are correct
