Yea I'm another one who has an old car and changed battery only to find I didn't have the codes.

thanks for the reply any idea why it wont let me punch the code in it says safe i press the as button and it will only let me punch in the 1st number and no more ????? sorry to be a pain

Sorry just double checked and was looking at the number on the sticker instead of the actual casing. The number for the Philips car 400 unit in the Astra is GM040023209240 and again anyone who could help is a legend
