This is a CLARION and can only be decoded by the Citroen Main Dealer or a Specialist Decoder with the relevant large (+expensive) software database. The exception is the Clarion with a barcode beginning with 700000...which yours doesn`t appear to have.

Try phoning the main dealer as you can quite often "blag" the code or free, especially if you can quote the vehicle numbers ( VIN , registration etc)

I'm sure you're right in your details above RegWorts, i've got a clarion decoder I dont use very often, it says that there maybe two barcodes, if there is, could you post both of them, saying which one is the top one and which is the bottom one, then I maybe able to help, worth a try eh?;)

  • Hi everyone,
Is there any chance i can find out how to get a code for my vauxhall meriva radio, I have tried vauxhall who want £25.00 for the privelidge, which although a complete rip off i wouldnt mind so much if they made the whole thing a bit easier, they want me to take the radio down to their dealership along with the V5 log book, and then they say it could take up to 3 or 4 days!! are they serious.
I dont mind paying, i realise you dont get anything for nothing in this world (contrary to what martin lewis might say lol)
I just want to know the easiest way to get the code,
I have looked at "instant-radio-codes.co.uk" who have a checker on their home page to see if they can actually get you your code, i typed my serial number in and it told me..yes, we have your code...always the sceptic i tried typing in a random 14 digit number and suprise suprise..yes they still had a code for that too...so..how genuine is this site?
If anyone can help me i would be so grateful.

Radio is a Siemens VDO CDR2005

    serial number is: 9012 300 00287 00
there is another 14 digit number below that one which is: 003 0416 3240316

    Steve.
  • Hi,

I was hoping that someone could provide me the code for my 206. I've been without the radio for a while, but would like to have it up and running in time for the start of the football season.

    Model No:22RC200/65S
    TOT366 029018
    PROD NO: FD0200350060361
    Serial?: PHAPMFY0060361

I would really appreciate any help that someone could give me.

    Thanks.
    me.

I don`t think that you will obtain this VDO code from any of the free Help Boards.
It`s a matter of searching the internet for the cheapest service.
I`m not sure that any of your above numbers are the Serial Number required as it normally has a couple of letters in front of it .
It is usually stamped/engraved on the metal casing.
The professional chap that advertises on Ebay (DND Services) charges £15 on their website for the VDO CDR2005 ..so that will be a price to compare with .( I`ve never had any dealings with them Anyway their Ebay descriptions are rather scathing about the "amateur" decoders not giving out the right codes. Not strictly true of course , especially for the Ford codes and many Blaupunkts as they use calculator software. However the Philips, Grundig , Delco VDO etc use a vast database software ( ie very expensive !) which is normally beyond the reach of the amateurs, hence the "professional" Decode Specialists usually charge many ££s for codes.
