  • Hey folks, my radio in my '99 focus needs a code. I changed the battery but the code that came with the radio doesn't work. I'm up to 6 attempts so far so don't want to push it too far. I was told to turn on the radio, press 6 & 2 together to get the serial and the following is what came up: MGP DJS 4-04 04-03-00
No idea if this, or any of it, is the serial number so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

No good I'm afraid. Pull the unit out and get the M****** number off the sticker.

If you are lucky, holding buttons 2 + 6 will show the serial.
If not afraid you going to have to take it out and get serial from the unit

Thanks. Will get him to try that when i see him next. Cheers!

Got a Rover for pennies for the wife at an auction: battery was not holding charge, so got replaced (amongst other expensive jobs  ). Fact is, many papers there but no sign of a radio code.

Radio is a Rover R660, and the code etched on the side is ... (need glasses!)

    RG349FW1140865

The label on top of the radio is pretty worn out, but I can make out the following:

    TYPE NO. 22 DC 349/60B
    RG PART NO. XQD1010?0
    PROD NO FD 0998301140865

Anything else needed to pull a code out of your magic hat?

    TIA

    Try code 4147
