Will try that soon as I can get the thing back to life! All lights come on, but stereo is deid. Oh, and the engine doesnt turn over! Cars are a flippin pain in the proverbial. Never mind, google is my friend....!

Got a Rover for pennies for the wife at an auction: battery was not holding charge, so got replaced (amongst other expensive jobs :mad: ). Fact is, many papers there but no sign of a radio code.

Radio is a Rover R660, and the code etched on the side is ... (need glasses!)

RG349FW1140865

The label on top of the radio is pretty worn out, but I can make out the following:

TYPE NO. 22 DC 349/60B
RG PART NO. XQD1010?0
PROD NO FD 0998301140865

Anything else needed to pull a code out of your magic hat?

serial number: GR1183X0100717

Had contact with grundig Germany, they told me to contact delphigrundig.com but their email address doesn't seem to work.

Could I possibly ask if anyone can give me the code for the stereo from my son's 306 please? Peugeot want £18 odd +vat!

There is no indication as to its make but the model is PU-2294A and the serial number is CL0401X0008077.

If you are lucky, holding buttons 2 + 6 will show the serial.
If not afraid you going to have to take it out and get serial from the unit
