After a week with no radio due to a battery change I am looking forward to some music as my little dog squeaks and cries in the car, if the radio is on she is ok, settles down and goes to sleep.
Hopefully someone here can help us both!

    Try code 1616
Thanks for trying but no luck with this code :(

The majority of HONDA codes (including your PIONEER ) are not available for free from anywhere on the Internet as access is required to the original factory database

Main Dealer or Radio Decode Service only for this code
  • Hi my 1998 Explorer battery died and I took it out and got a new one, now radio only works on cd. I have my books but no code. model is F87F 18c868 cc (I think last letter is cc) serial is 5 216 R1023565

IS there a place that shows how to program?

    Thanks,
    Jimmy

:(The bad news is that is the correct code for that serial:(
Have you removed the stereo to check the actual serial?

Before trying anything else, switch the stereo on and leave it undisturbed, could take up to an hour, with any luck this will reset it.

If the serial matches then it looks like the stereo has been recoded in the past, then I'm afraid it's down to a local decoder to redode it again

Firstly you could try holding buttons 2 and 6, on some models this will give the serial.

If not then it is fairly easy without buying the pins!

a couple of thin screwdrivers and a bit of 'jiggling about' will do it
