Thanks very much for your response RegWorts - would you or anyone else be able to recommend a good value online decoding service for this radio please? (as the serial number - CL041010244311 - I included in my post was the barcoded sticker serial number on the unit). Again, many thanks.

By quoting just the Serial Number CL041010244311, then the only suppliers will have to be the Main Dealer or one of the larger Professional Decode Services who has access to the original factory database.... I would not like to recommend anyone because if this original code does NOT work in your radio , then in most cases there is no money refund guarantee....so you could be charged £15 /£20 or more and still not have a working radio because it may have been recoded in the past so will not work with the original number.

Beware as there are quite a few fraudulent Internet Decoders who will take your money and will NOT be able to provide your Clarion code if the Serial Number begins with CL (like yours) and will NOT refund your money.

They might seem tempting at £2.99 or £5 or £7.99 but they will not be able to supply this Clarion code.

The better option is your local Car Radio / Audio Shop who will plug in a laptop to read your radio memory chip (EEPROM) usually while you wait.

The cost can be £10/£15 or more

9925 has been checked in 2 different Philips databases and is the correct code for the Serial Number quoted GM0201R1305409

This is the one it left the factory with , so perhaps your radio has been recoded in the past....or you are using the wrong code entry instructions...or have quoted the wrong Serial Number
