Hello,
Does anyone know the procedure I have to go through to get a code for a vauxhall vectra CDR 500 radio?
I bought this car second hand in the summer and due to recent bad weather I had to change the battery yesterday and now the radio won't play and just says 'SAFE' when I press the cd button? I can't find a pass code in any of my documentation.
Thanks,
Brian0 -

Unfortunately the majority of SIEMENS/VDO/DELCO codes (including your CDR500) will NOT be available for free (or cheap) from anywhere on the Internet as access is required to the original factory database…which is not commercially available..kingshearer wrote: »Hello,

Try your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Shop (who are normally the cheapest option) who will connect it to a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)0 -
Thanks for your swift and helpful reply.
When you say 'not cheap' roughly how much are we talking about since I've got a spare radio/cd player and might just replace it instead?0
