    Hi all -

I've recently had alternator trouble on my car, and as such the battery died, knocking out the radio. Would anyone be able to provide a code to unlock it?

It's a Clarion CRX62, serial number 0008448, Product No. PE-9503A. It also has the letters "BD" stamped in ink on the outer casing.

There are a few other numbers on warning stickers and suchlike - I'm not sure if these will help though:
    286-7491-01
    285-1410-00
    285-1199-00
    285-1411-00

I can't see a 14 digit code or a barcode on the body of the radio, however it is from a 19 year old Mazda.

I hope this is enough information, and I'd be very grateful if someone could help.

    Thanks - Lunja.

Sorry...Main Dealer or a Decoding Service for this code
  • Hi,

We recently took our Vauxall Corsa 1.2 T-Reg car into the Vauxall dealership (ironically in Luton!) to have the lights around the heating panel replaced. When it was returned we discovered that the radio says SAFE when it is turned on.

We have the "Car Pass" but the "Radio Type/Code" number seems to have been crossed out. We have the "VIN", "Security Code", "Engine Type/No", and "Serial Number" numbers on this Car Pass.

Are any of these sufficient to obtain the radio code required?

    Thanks in advance.

The radio will have to be removed from the car dashboard .
Then please quote the MAKE + MODEL of your radio plus ALL the LETTERS and NUMBERS on any LABELS , BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING.
