  • Amazed at the speed of the reply, thank ScottishSapper. Faster than me fitting the radio back in the car. Unfortunately, in removing the radio in order to get the serial number, I must have fused something in the radio because it no longer turns on . Amateur mechanic, my bad, should have left it to the professionals...
6 minutes! I must have been having a nap;)
    Maybe the following will help:
The fuses are under the dasboard. Look below the steering wheel to the right and you will see a panel.Pull the panel out and the main fuse board is exposed.
Fuse 35, 10 amp; second in from the right in the first row - above - the relays.

Unfortunately your CHRYSLER code is not in my small Chrysler database as it is one of the later ones.

See your PM for a possible long shot to try and obtain this code for free.

OK, thanks for checking and for your quick response.
  • I finnaly managed to remove my radio and i have just read your post regarding Siemens/vdo radios. Guess what, mine is a CDR2500, doesnt look like you can help me. Thanks for keeping with me and trying to help. Guess i will now trundle of to my main dealer!

Will they just give me a code or will they totally fix it?

Hi they may charge for some codes but thats only recently implemented and a lot of other posters that will give the codes are free codes, you should have a proper look at the car forums website

It may be a recent implimentation but the fact is they do charge for codes.

A quote from one of their 'stickies'

Payments for codes can be made to xxxx or myself through ur paypal account we do not accept any other method thanx

IF A RADIO CODE HAS BEEN PROVIDED BY MYSELF THEN PLEASE SEND PAYMENT VIA PAYPAL TO THE FOLLOWING EMAIL ADDRESS THANKYOU

And a quote from their Ford Code 'Sticky'
    ford codes - 01-03-2009, 08:59 AM

please post here there is a charge of £5.00 per code

I have looked at post as far back as Feb this year and every one requires payment.

As RegWorts says everyone who supplies codes here does so at NO COST to help others. Some we are able to help others we can't.

So I personally think your comment -- "you should have a proper look at the car forums website" is out of order

My humble opinion and I'm sticking to it and i am NOT entering in to or inviting any further discussion on the matter
  • Hi,

Just changed the battery in my girlfriends car and now locked out of the radio.
