Unfortunately, in removing the radio in order to get the serial number, I must have fused something in the radio because it no longer turns on . Amateur mechanic, my bad, should have left it to the professionals...
Maybe the following will help:
The fuses are under the dasboard. Look below the steering wheel to the right and you will see a panel.Pull the panel out and the main fuse board is exposed.
Fuse 35, 10 amp; second in from the right in the first row - above - the relays.0 -
I finnaly managed to remove my radio and i have just read your post regarding Siemens/vdo radios. Guess what, mine is a CDR2500, doesnt look like you can help me. Thanks for keeping with me and trying to help. Guess i will now trundle of to my main dealer!
Will they just give me a code or will they totally fix it?0 -

please post here there is a charge of £5.00 per code
I have looked at post as far back as Feb this year and every one requires payment.
As RegWorts says everyone who supplies codes here does so at NO COST to help others. Some we are able to help others we can't.
So I personally think your comment -- "you should have a proper look at the car forums website" is out of order
My humble opinion and I'm sticking to it and i am NOT entering in to or inviting any further discussion on the matter
