Hi again, don`t suppose anyone can find a code for a citroen saxo radio?.

Hey Wallbash ... I'm much impressed by your efforts:hello:
Having worked in the trade for 20 years (bla bla) ... I can maybeeee give some pointers for other peeps out there. The system originally was that the dealer had the radio code for a car when it was supplied new. However things changed when dealers went looking for radio codes for vehicles they had taken back in part-exchange >>> the manufacturers started charging the dealer ..about £5, but that started many years ago. I used to give out codes to customers where we had them, but when the manufacturers started charging, we had to pass the cost on.
Anyway, most cars out there now will be recorded on a dealers computer system. If you have any service book or other book that shows the original supplying dealer, I would suggest you phone them and ask for the code over the phone. Ask for the "sales admin" department when you call and apart from having the radio details, know the chassis number of your car... that makes it easy for them to trace. THey may not "be allowed" to give you the code, but for the price of a phone call ... worth a try!!
Otherwise ...hmmmmm0 -
AS I posted ( when asked about the legal' question re- code! ) seems a shame you cant ( freely and quickly) get the number, if you have flattened the battery
Could see the point when little toad rags pinched the radios to sell but these days sems the Sat nav is the No1 target.
Love it when been told that only a registered software 'dealer' is allowed to devulge such an easy 'answer' :rotfl:
To sum up:beer: Ford software is very easily obtained from the web and a three year old child could use it :T
But am always willing to post the numbers for Ford radios.
PS love to beat the other posters
e.g RegWorts/iNath/molerat and yyiTH0 -

Hi there, can anyone help me to get the radio code for my Renault Clio? My battery went flat and its now asking me for the code.
Model No 22DC258/63B
Prod No: FD0302270278024
8200576732H168
RN258F20278024 (Sorry not sure what number is needed so i've given them all)
Sorry, this is a PHILIPS and I don`t think anyone on these free Help Boards can calculate your code.
Unfortunately I think you will find that the ONLY codes that are available for calculation here are FORD and many BLAUPUNKT.(+ possibly some BECKER)
The others including PHILIPS, CLARION , GRUNDIG etc software that calculates from the Serial Number is not readily available so any codes will have to be obntaned from the Main Dealer or Radio Decode Specialist.
However if anyone does have any of this software available for sale , then please contact me as I would be willing to pay a fair price for it0 -
Hi
I have just bought a Peugeot 306 and unfortunately the radio code is needed. I wonder if anyone can get me a code for a PU-2294A.
The serial number is CL0401Y0190371
The other numbers on the back of the unit are
BSMC23
9639219580
e13020410
286-8497-33
Any help would be greately appreciated.
Thanks
This is a CLARION radio so are any of these numbers in the form of a BARCODE as this is the only one that might be possible to calculate from.
If so then please state which one.
If it`s NOT a barcode then I`m afraid it will have to be dealt with by a specialist ...but won`t be free.0 -
