< Anyone need a Ford stereo code? I'll tell you it for free! Just need serial number and model of stereo...
I can only do Ford stereos. Most other makes are a nightmare
Note FORD STEREOS ONLY
NO PEUGEOTS, ROVERS, VOLVOS ETC.
ONLY FORD
FORD FORD FORD
(did I mention I can only do Fords?)

thanks very much all sorted now and well pleased!!!:rotfl:0 -
8596 has been checked again and is the correct code for the Serial Number GM0303R1770474
so first make sure you have quoted the correct serial number found on your radio casing
Make sure you are using the correct Code Entry Instructions as quoted in the radio guide.
If you think you only have 1 attempt left then try leaving your radio SWITCHED ON...UNDISTURBED for several hours in order to to reset it.
If it still fails to work then it will look as though your radio has been recoded in the past to a completely different number and so your only option will be a Decode Service who will connect it to a laptop to read / recode the memory chip (EEPROM)
Thanks RegWorts, I have confirmed the serial number to be as previously stated, don't have the manual but found online that I just enter the code so that it is displayed on screen, and then hold "AS", after this it comes up "SAFE". Don't really live in the kind of area where I can leave my keys in the car (even when locked), so I think I'll have a look on an auction site for a cassette player. Thank you for your help though :T:beer:0 -
