Thanks RegWorts, the code 8596 unfortunately didn't work. Now only have 1 attempt left before I will have to go and buy a new stereo. Anyone have a better code?

I think you will find that everyone who is able to supply codes all work from the same database and decoding programmes, so it is unlikely that anyone (I certainly don't) will have a "better code".

If you have supplied the correct details and the code does not work then I susspect that at sometime in the past the radio will have been taken to a professional 'decoder' and the unit has been reprogrammed with a new number, in which case we would not be able to help you

Looking for a code to unlock the Blaupunkt 2040 radio in my GFs Peugeot 206.

S/N is: BP814618751298

P/N is: 7 648 146 392

8596 has been checked again and is the correct code for the Serial Number GM0303R1770474
so first make sure you have quoted the correct serial number found on your radio casing

Make sure you are using the correct Code Entry Instructions as quoted in the radio guide.

If you think you only have 1 attempt left then try leaving your radio SWITCHED ON...UNDISTURBED for several hours in order to to reset it.

If it still fails to work then it will look as though your radio has been recoded in the past to a completely different number and so your only option will be a Decode Service who will connect it to a laptop to read / recode the memory chip (EEPROM)
