I am in need of a radio unlock code for my Escort, the radio is a RDS 6000.

The number on the top is: M120930

Thanks ScottishSnapper but there are only the buttons 1 through to 6 on the front of the radio, how do i put the 7 & 8 in??????

Start with button 1 >>>>>> press 4 times till 4 shows
button 2 >>>>>> press 8 times till 8 show
same with buttons 3 & 4 till you get the 4 and 7
when you have 4847 showing press and hold button 5 (I think the radio should then 'beep')

Just bought a Vauxhall for the in-laws and guess what, no radio code.
Radio is VDO CDR500(E)
S/N is GM050021447316

Most places want £25 to provide code, here's hoping some kind soul can do it for a lot less.
