  • Hi all. I need to put my original Ford radio/CD back in my Fiesta now that I'm selling the car, could someone kindly let me know the activation code for it as it isn't in the handbook as I'd expected.

    It's a 6000 CD - model KW2000, serial number V347317.

    Many thanks,

    Andre

I may be wrong but did not think Ford units started with 'V' most of them start with 'M' and a few A, L or C.

Can you check the serial again?

Have just done a 'google' seems V series were made by Sony and the code is NOT available online

If it is 'M' then the code will be 2762

The side label says Ford, "made by Visteon in Portugal", part number "6S61-18C815-AG", model "Single CD - KW2000", serial number "V347317" (definitely starts with a V).

The date on the other label (titled "Ford Audio Systems") is 31.10.2006, and it also shows the same serial number.

The front panel looks like any other Ford 6000 CD head unit that I've seen in photos (including the text "Ford 6000 CD").

The new V serial codes are only available paid for from Ford or a pro decoder.

Oh well, thanks for the information anyway. I have the Ford code-number plastic card which was supplied with the car's handbook, but there's nothing written on it.

    I guess Ford Dealer == £££ :(

  • Hi,
I scanned back through MANY pages but could notl locate my model, so had to resort to asking for the code.
I own a 2000 ford ranger with a fatory am/fm/cass in it. only numbers i could find are
    a84 (wriote with a pen), Cu141331 and F8VF-19B132-AA.

thats the radio thats in it
I would like to install a am/fm/cd unit 6006 spring mnt.
    with numbers :part# 1S4F-18C815-AD
    Ser # M009344

does someone sell a connector that I can buy to plugin the 6006 into the harness?
and do i need codes for the both units?

    any info is appreciated.
    thank you much

    Bob
