SAFE means that wrong codes have been entered previously.

To reset , press the ON and AS buttons ...then LEAVE SWITCHED ON ...UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to automatically reset itself.

It can take up to 11 hours (as the waiting time doubles after each wrong code ) but normally it is only an hour or two.

thx will give it a try forgot to ask theres only number buttons 1-6 how would i enter the number 7 in ?

Sorry to be a nuisance RegWorts but after the '0000' come on and I try to press for the first digit, it immediately goes to '_ _ _ _' and won't let me put any digits in.

Press and hold AS button * and the ON button at the same time

Display Shows SAFE then goes to 10 - - - - with a "Beep" from the speaker

Press Preset Button " 1 "repeatedly until the 1st Digit of your Code is displayed
Press Preset Button " 2" repeatedly until the 2nd Digit of your Code is displayed
Press Preset Button " 3" repeatedly until the 3rd Digit of your code is displayed
Press Preset Button " 4" repeatedly until the 4th Digit of your code is displayed

If the display now shows the correct Code number then

Press Button AS and hold to Enter and if successful there should be a "Beep" from the speaker and the radio should switch on

If you`ve entered wrong codes previously , then your radio may be semi-locked.

To reset , LEAVE SWITCHED ON ...UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to automatically reset itself.

It can take up to 24 hours (as the waiting time doubles after each wrong code ) but normally it is only an hour or two.

If you have entered TOO many wrong codes then it will be fully locked and can only be unlocked by a Decoding Service
