Fiddlestick - you have to realise that this isnt a proper crime, just a white collar middle class one that the police have no business intervening in.;)0

Hilarious. You're all comedians and preachers.0

Dont beat yourself up about it. Whats done is done and we ALL learn from our mistakes.

My OH got a fine for having his fog lights on last year, worst £60 we ever spent lol:rotfl: Big Momma to 5 kids:rotfl:
Always looking at ways to save money or earn it!!!
Now could always sell a few kids;)0 -
OP, did you actually answer the phone before pulling over or just simply pick it up at that stage? In theory you may not have even committed an offence, although proving it is a different kettle of fish.0

Oh and while I come to think of it I was stopped when the phone law came in for scratching my ear lol!!
Horrid nasty policewoman(because her attitude stunk!), marched into the chinese takeaway after me and would just not believe I wasnt on my phone. Her collegue even rummaged around the front of my car as they didnt believe I had left it(phone) at home. She concluded I must have held my small black purse up to my ear. Yeah because thats something we all do, eh??
Bonus was I got free prawn crackers

I doubt that the spirit of the law was to enable the police to catch people committing two offences at the same time.
This statement sums up just how absurd the law(s), & the interpretation of them, are.
80 on a m/way is generally (I'd hazard always) ignored even though it's an offence yet be seen handling a moblie at all while driving & you're bang to rights.... somethings been lost in translation!Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -

Holding a mobile is considered using so technically guilty!
You know the best bit? If the phone is in a cradle then you can text by just pushing the buttons  As long as you are not "holding" the phone then this stupid law doesn't apply.
You really couldn't make it up... but someone did!Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -
