o2 Simplicity "Pay as you go loyalty balance transfer"
I switched from 02 pay as you go to o2 simplicity in April this year.
I pay £10 for 300 minutes a month, and unlimited texts, which easily takes care of what i need with my phone.
At the time, i had 12p credit, which they switched to my new contract. Under pay as you go I got a loyalty bonus of 10% credit for my top ups returned each 3 months, but I'd used up all this credit by the time id switched so my balance there was £0.00.
Ive been happilly paying £10 a month since april.
Now on my bill, a mysterious item has appeared, called "o2 pay and go loyalty balance transfer". The amounts for £75 and since july my £10 monthly bill is being deducted from this. So this and last month ive not paid a penny.
But..... im !!!!!!ed if ive an idea where this £75 has come from. As ive said, before i transferred i had just 12p credit (transferred) and was up to date with their 10% cashback loyalty bonus (never having topped up enough to get £75 back in any case).
My feeling is there could be some error, but does anyone have an explanation.
If its not an error, its a nice surprise and money ive not been expecting!
If there is an error, im thinking of setting aside £75 in a savings account and seeing if o2 spot it as if i query it with o2, they will probably ask for it back/or may write it off its found months later.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Sorry, I know this thread is a month old, but I've just spotted the same thing from my August bill! I'm not sure about it, but I don't think it's an error. I was with o2 for years (as bt cellnet before that) and would receive discounts off new phones every year, I wonder if that it is the monetary value of that?:j Ready to take control of my life! :j

Just found this on the o2 website "We'll then transfer your loyalty bonus. It takes us a little while to calculate so we'll credit this to your 4th bill.":j Ready to take control of my life! :j

This is the discount you would have had as airtime credit on a new handset. Not to be confused with the O2 Reward which you used up.
Think yourself lucky because that scheme has ended now and customers only get the O2 Reward as a handset discount.0
