So eBay whack the fees up, PayPal have upped everything so it's hardly worth selling on eBay anymore anyway, and now you can't leave negative feedback for a bad buyer!
GRR!!

Exactly! That's why when I had a clear out the other week I just took everything down to the tip. A lot cheaper and easier than eBay now.0 -
Without wanting to take this thread too far off topic, have you tried your local freecycle/freegle?Deleted_User wrote: »when I had a clear out the other week I just took everything down to the tip. A lot cheaper and easier than eBay now.0 -

I have in the past for large items. But this time round I didn't have the time/energy to sit around waiting for people to turn up.0 -
Are those completed listings? Lots of people who advertise cars are chancers and ask for too much. What they actually sell for is the key figure.Think she will put on Ebay, I've searched through 100's of KA's this afternoon and the average price for a similar spec, mileage, private sale would be 1,200. Its going on tonight when we've taken pics!
TBH the aircon and leather seats etc probably won't add to the value as much as expected, they're better off in a bigger car for the maximum benefit in terms of resale value.0 -
Great News!
My little sis put her KA on Gumtree and she has sold it tonight!! A guy paid 950.00 for it and was chuffed to bits. He was buying it for his daughter who's just passed her test!
Glad we hadn't put it on Ebay yet, putting it on Gumtree was free and she had several calls about it.
Really glad we didn't take the garages offer and held out!
Thanks for the advice though!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but my question is related and I didn't want to start another thread!
My boss over the summer has put his wife's car up for sale on Ebay, the car was in good nick apart from a dent on the passenger door which he had described and photographed in the advert. He also said he would be more than hapy for bidders to come to have a look at the car. He had lots of interest and the car was bid upon and won.
When the guy came to collect, he took one look and decided he didn't want the car anymore and walked away?
I assume there is nothing my boss can do about this, he is unhappy that he is now going to have to pay nearly 40.00 in ebay fees for something that he didn't even sell!
Is there anything he can do, or is it just one of them things?
I saw the advert and it does describe the condition of the car accurately and if I was buying up and turned up to look, I wouldn't have been surprised by any faults on the car, as it was listed and photographed.
Thanks.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:
