Hi just looking for some advise, i am looking to book next years holiday and have been looking on various sites, thomas cook, olympic etc There are 2 adults and 2 children traveling however i have noticed that there are a number of holidays that are cheaper if i book as if we are 4 adults. Can anyone advise if this is an issue? thanks

i am pretty sure you can as this happened to me also.. i would phone them and get them to do it for you just to keep you right as that is what i done and it all went thru ok0

We couldn't when we tried with thomsons a few years ago,
when you fill in passenger details, it wouldn't accept the date of births, i know you can't do it with ryanair and easyjet
so i would check with thomas cook, before you do try and book it, don't want to get stung for large charges later.0 -
if there over a cetain age i beleive you can with some firmsReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. You can book the kids as adults yeah, but just be wary of adult only propertys
Also some of the thomson property will only accept children and adults sharing the particular room type, they may not allow you to confirm the booking at the final stage

If you book them as Adults would they then be excluded from the children only activities, if there any?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Thanks All, I will give them a call to check before booking, and check the things you have highlighted. Thanks0

They wouldnt be excluded from kids activites
Your absolutely fine to book them as adults I do it every day to avoid some of the rediculous under occ charges
You tend to get 3rd/4th adult reductions too
Just check the property and the room type before confirming but there aint nothing wrong in doing it

It can also be cheaper to book two rooms with one adult and one child in each one, rather than one room which would normally end up cramped and full of camp beds!British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0

We booked our kids as adults twice last year. Once with Thomsons on a villa holiday and the second holiday was with first choice holiday to the holiday village in spain. No problems either time even got kids meals on the plane without asking.0

They can be excluded from the kids clubs if you have booked them on the holiday as adults, if the kids club can only accept a certain amount of kids and its full to capacity. Also if the kids club in the hotel is run by 1 company ie Thomsons and you've booked with Thomas Cook, Olympic, Cosmos etc the Thomsons customers get priority and it can be free to them and the others may have to pay to attend.
Its best to check different combinations when booking i did a holiday for a family of 4 today and it was £200 dearer with a free child so we did it the other way.0
