Debenhams - Double Charged

I bought a wedding gift through the Debenhams Wedding Gift Service for a relative (£100).
On Saturday I received a call from the store hosting the Wedding Gift List to say the item I had chosen was out of stock - could they substitute it. I agreed.
Yesterday (and today) I checked my bank account and Debenhams have taken the payment for the items twice, and there is no refund pending on the account (I called the bank).
I contacted customer services, who transferred me to the wedding list service who transferred me to the store. The store call was answered by a male who from the first word he uttered "morning" sounded as though I was a highly inconvenient caller.
After explaining what had happened (and clearly, unreasonably expecting a refund for the first transaction!) he said a supervisor would call me back. As I was at work, I asked for an approximate timescale - duh! Mistake! "When she can".
So, here we are 24 hours later and still double-charged and OF COURSE the supervisor didn't call:o!
The thing is, neither transaction resulted in a receipt of any sort whatsoever. The internet transaction (the first one) I have a confirmation email, but it doesn't give any indication of monetary amount or items bought (strange!?!?!?), and clearly the second one was over the phone, so nothing there either!
Does this sound normal to anyone who is a regular Debenhams shopper, and do I just need to bide my time for the refund to be processed when they notice it?
Any other suggestions of how to hasten them?

A refund can often take 7-10 days to receive it so i would wait for a few days then contact them again.0

I would also go into my bank and dispute the 2nd transaction. Just to cover your back basically.
