just spotted this on HUKD

This includes smartphone, iPhone and BlackBerry specific sim only tariffs

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/o2-simplicity-package-12-month-cont/744269

which after I do the maths = £6.67 a month (assuming it tracks)

ordinary phone :- £15 a month tariff is 600 minutes + unlimited texts, choice of unlimited O2 to O2 calls or unlimited Landline calls

iphone Tariff at £15 is 300 minutes , unlimited texts and data ( 500mb data pm) +unlimited wifi

Blackberry Tariff starts at £20 so £11.67 after cashback for 600 minutes , unlimited texts and Blckberry data ( 500mb data pm ) + unlimited wifi

Great deal, any idea how long it should take to get back the £100?

I'm a bit unsure of whether to go for this or not, as after having read the thread on HUKD, a lot of people say that the cashback fails to pay or it pays out at a smaller amount.

I did a deal like this in november last year via Topcashback . £20 a month with o2 with £150 cash back. This paid out fine although took four months and originally tracked at lower level but Topcashback really good and kept me updated. Withdrew all money May time. very pleased with bargain but did work out could afford the £20 a month in case anything happened or did not pay out and looked at the cash back as a bonus as there is a chance nothing will pay out. HTH someone.

topcashback says it tracks at £25 initially but then will pay out at £100

Please note, this merchant takes a minimum of 2 days for tracking to occur and will initially track at lower amount and later uplift to the correct amount.

and under comments for O2 says

I have used the cashback site for o2 3 times now it tracked very quickly and payment of £100 became payable exactly 8 weeks later. Will be definately using again

It looks as though the cashback from Topcashback is more reliable for this particular deal than quidco.

Sounds great -- hand't come across the quidco / topcashback sites. Thanks!!!
  • O2 are slow to pay, but they usually do
the twice i have tried (through quidco) they have paid out

i have tried this as i am £15pm PAYG anyway
so nothing to loose if they dont

a while ago there was an offer for £3.50 back on a really cheap phone
(can anyone remember it? it was a wee white phone?)
i just been paid for that one, i THINK it was about May time

I was thinking about getting this sim, so now is the time to do it.

    What do I do?

Just click that link & go from there or do I have to do anything special (register anywhere else) for the cash back?

    Never done it before?

I've clicked on here & registered & then clicked the o2 link.

    Is that it?

If I bought this & then changed to an iphone (one I bought) do you think I could change to an iphone sim while under this contact?
