Did you charge it for at least 16 hours when you first got it? It takes a few charges to get the battery to full power, so by now it should be lasting longer than a day.

Unless of course you talk a lot...like me :o But even I don't have to charge mine that often.
  • My W810i works for a couple of days on a single charge. Im with Orange and travel around 150 miles a day in my car.

I've had my W810i for about three weeks now and I am amazed at the battery life (much better than the 6230i I had before).

I talk often, text a lot, play tunes and love Quadrapop and my battery lasts 3 to 4 days :T

I usually let it run out of charge almost completely and then charge it up overnight.
  • A:I you're right about conditioning mobile batteries. The 16 hour first charge is important. After that, try to let it completely run-out as often as you can, this prevents the battery getting part of it recharged regularly and some of it rarely or never:which I was told by a repair centre is bad for reducing the overall functioning.

But... all batteries are unique- maybe this is a bit duff. Try going back to retailer under 14 day cool off period - insist it's not meeting your needs cos of battery. Who knows what you may be offered. Or insist it must be faulty, as you have done everything perfectly.

The best of luck with it!Rob

Also if you can live without bluetooth turn it off - the battery runs out a lot quicker with it on.Mine does last about a week on a single charge though (don't really talk that much, but text and use the mp3 and radio a lot) so a day or so surprises me.
  • I'm a little disappointed with the battery life of my new K800i (maybe two or three days of heavyish use). Interestingly, the manual doesn't tell you to do an extra-long charge the first time.

I suspect the extra use caused by the novelty of having a new phone (and in ny case being on Web'n'walk with unlimited internet access) is draining the battery more than would normaly be the case.

yes you should do it, and wait till the battery drains almost completely, then recharge. Mine lasts 2 days.

Does the phone had to be switched off to do the 16 hour charge?
