According to the Telegraph we can earn a living out of entering competitions by being devious.

In that case I 'm definitely not devious!

Well I'm definitely doing something wrong lol, no way I could make a living off of my comping.
My brother and I have entered about 300 codes each for every Pepsi comp, just because we drink a lot of it. We are both win-less, so it's a HOOOGE risk spending loads on promo packs 'cos there's still no guarantee you'll win even if you're upping your chances.
And are there REALLY compers with 100 mobile phones? Wow! I use mine and very occasionally my OH's. No wonder I'm not winning much :rotfl:0 -
pretty accurate report really0

:eek::eek: Wow, he must have a helluva big one!!!! (freezer I mean - £1000 worth of Magnums)
Have never won on the ringpulls and bought loadsI still think its a lot to do with luck (and of course how many comps you enter). I wouldn't like to send a fortune on stuff just in case ....
Do try the facebook and twitter ones but have still to get a win (and all the voting ones put me off a bit)
Anyhows, good luck all - just don't blow the kids inheritance on pepsi and crisps2015 wins: Nokia Lumia 735 Smartphone0 -
now I know why I'm not winning much with my one phone! Ah well, it makes it all the sweeter to know that my few wins are down to luck and perseverence!0

That's a really interesting article, thanks for posting it! :T
If that's the case then it's certainly opened my eyes as to why I'm not winning at the moment!! I guess I'm a bit naive and always assumed that people played by the rules (not by twisting them to fit what they want them to say!)
It makes me feel a bit sad actually because whilst comping is great, it will always bring out the greed in a few people!
I do thank people for posting codes and such like, but will go out and buy what I need, and would never dream of spending hundreds of pounds on something I didn't need/want (I couldn't afford to for one thing!) I tend to avoid most code comps for this reason because it's never a level playing field whilst people can buy so much of things! I know that's the point of the promotion, to get people to buy the products, but someone spending hundreds and entering say every single draw, means that someone spending £10 and entering a few draws has a lot less chance of winning (as if everyone did this all draws would have a lot of entries, compared to if everyone was buying what they needed and entering sporadically) so in the end, people will get fed up of not winning whilst seeing lots of people winning lots of times, and stop buying the product because they're fed up!0 -
we all do some all that stuff like entering late nights and swap codes but 100 mobiles ,nah ,,,,,,,,,
i have three numbers myself(i hope am not only one)A rule of the universe is, the more you give, the more you get0 -
Spending a £1000 or even £10 on anything to enter competitions is a big risk, one I wouldnt have the available cash or the inclination to take. As for a 100 mobile phones, I wouldnt want there bills or have to buy the credit at the end of the month. I am sure there will always be some that are prepared to go to any lengths to try and win and that includes cheating and investing loads of cash on a possible outcome. However, I will just stick to the luck of the draw and so far I havent done too bad. Good luck everyone. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Birmingham Childrens Hospital caring for my tiny and very poorly grandson who was born at 29 weeks. Thanks to them he is getting a little stronger every day.:A:A:A0

I completely agree, and if there is such a thing as 'comping karma' then I reckon we're doing it the right way, as it's bound to come and bite people eventually!0
