  • I did a lot of research and it was the best low usage deal i could find. If you go through quidco.co.uk you get an extra £35 cashback too.

I have just got what I consider the best mobile phone deal ever. I went on to O2's site and chose the K800i (free) on the Online 50 tariff (£19) for a 12 month contract. That works out at just £228 for a phone which retails at £299, and you get 50 mins a month and 200 texts too. No other company comes near this as far as I can see.
    Best deal or not.

lol, that sounds like a rubbish deal to me

50 minutes? that is crap! im sure you can get just as much minutes and texts on pay as you go!!

    02 or voda

if your planning to do insurance on your phone to re-coup so of the line rental outlay, then fair play, might be worth it then

but to be honest it doenst look good at all

You completely missed the point of the post.
  • Thanks for all your replies, especially the relevant ones.To answer a couple of you,
    1. The reason I never went for a cash back offer was that you need to be disciplined to claim your redemption. This is a simple cheap tariff.
    2. Secondly, in response to jassi_9, I would like to know where you can buy a pay as you go K800i for less than £228 and not pay for 50 mins and 200 texts a month. I certainly can't find one!!

If you can put up with the hassles of a cashback deal then you can get the handset and line rental for as little as £149.99 for the year.

Mobileclub7 have 3 offers on Orange ranging from £149.99-159.99 for the handset with 12 months free rental by redemption.

Choose from Panther, Canary, or Dolphin tariffs

    here:

Mobile Club 7 is linked with Tulip UK (specifically, the registrant for the domain is Tulip UK)

Have you performed a search for comments about this company...they make for very interesting reading.

  • I take it you guys are are all so disciplined that these redemption details are just par for the course!!
The mobileclub7 deal sounds good but again, it all depends on redemption.
I'm just a "fire and forget" person who likes to keep things simple.
Does anyone agree or disagree with this way of thinking?

Is 50 mins and 200 texts sufficient for your normal usage. I think it should do me so am still considering the online tariff.

After carefully studying this board i have phoned O2 three times and eventually got the deal i wanted. i was on 200 xnet minutes and 50 texts for £30 a month for the past 4 years and only decided to take your advice and ring o2 retentions - i was leaving had checked out all the deals on the web and was armed with abetter deal with the cpw which incuded a free K800i for 272.99 after mailing discount for 9 months and delivery of free phone btu no use of quidco as i had to do it over the phone for 400xnet minutes went to O2 finally got 400xnet minutes and 200 texts plus 20% over and above any calls outside my minutes plus a SEK800i 16.50 / month!!! only down side had to pay £80 for the phone works out at £279.99 plus i keep my number and got to change at month 10 instead of 12. Probably someone will get a far better deal but you must persevere. retentions number is 08000288151

You've not had anything free yet. That's £60 per month. Good luck trying to get the cash back!
