How many of these are normally supplied with a new car, 1 or 2 ?

Is it a key or a nut that you have?0

Normally one. You will be able to get another if you provide them with the code which is normally supplied on a card in the docs pack.0

If you have "none" then contact your mechanic.
It's a lot easier to have them removed and just replaced with plain wheel nuts/bolts at about £1 each. First thing I personally do on any new car is remove the locking wheel nuts, and replace them with plain nuts. They don't work, they are easily removed with publically available tooling, and they always misbehave or you can't find the key at the worst possible moment.

We have one Nut but I thought there should be 2. Keep it clean if you respond :rotfl:Mortgage free

You usually only get one nut on factory fitted wheel locks, well with BMW anyway, what car do you have?0

Check the key works now, rather than finding (somebody like me...) has sold it to you with a completely random key he had knocking around so he can go "oh... here's the key" when the buyer asks.... (I jest)
It does happen though, or they get mixed up etc.. So check it works on all the wheels now, not 3am when it's peeing down with rain in the middle of nowhere, to find it's bent/broken/doesn't fit the car!

Its a new car but you are right it would be a good idea to double check the nut fits.0 -
Do as Andy suggests, change them for standard wheel nuts, they will never stop a determined scumbag from nicking your wheels.
They are just a huge pain in the buttocks.0 -

Had an Escort with ones that seemed to be made out of cheese, rounded off, at midnight, on a "C" road in the middle of nowhere in the pouring rain.
Since then, I've waged a war on the bloody things!
