my OH has her dewbts, as she doesnt work she uses this for her payments as well as buying kids clothes and towards food...
no point even considering BR if he will end up taking her money for the kids or to pay my debts0 -
and i'll say again....its got nothing to do with your debts..the receiver wants to see people pay fair share towards housekeeping thats all nothing moreWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

Ballyclover, the one thing you have to get used to is that it doesn't matter if you morally agree ot not, that is the way it is. If you cant live with the interference and control that the OR has over you for a period of time, then you may have to look for another option. yiou have tio remember though that it isnt forever.
that said, if I had known just how much they would end up taking off me over the 3 year IPA, I am not sure if I would have gone through with it or not. So make sure you understand all the implications.0 -
think i over reacted, i believe that the OR doesnt require to know what benifits my partner get, eg tax credit and child benifit but only how much she contributes to the house hold.
So for instance if she get £500.00 a month in benifits she would contribute 250. that would be all the OR was interested in0 -

yes but if your other half is not willing to disclose what income she receives (which is her right) then the OR is allowed to assume that she pays for half of all the household billsHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Please note that any views i put forth are not those of my former employer The Insolvency Service and do not constitute professional advice, you should always seek professional advice before entering insolvency proceedings.0 -
which is fair enough, but tax credits and child benifit are used to pay for the kids mainly, as well as her own bills as i cannot afford to pay for these. She normally pays for most of the food and clothes i pay towards these too and all house hold bills. So even if i put down the amount she gets, £550 approx, least 150 of that is her own bills, i cant put them down on my BR or my SOA0

Don't put her full income just what she contributes to the bills ie: £400, as that is what she contributes to the household bills.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

will the OR ask me for proof of her earning though, bills etc0
