I have managed to delete most of the crap I wanted to now... thanks to those who have advised me in this thread :T
I'm still getting constant writing to the hard disk which when running Filemon gives me the path of C:\PROGRA~1\SPYWAR~1 running constantly; I dunno if this is harmless or what?0 -
What's in that directory?
Badly written software can write pointless logging info every second or so (ZA does it), so if you have a spyware scanner in that directory that may be the cause.
Alternatively it could be malware after you disabled all your AV/spyware/firewall software>? (Mcafee is one of the better scanners, if a little bloated nowadays.)Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
Although Filemon shows that as the 'path', I can't find a directory called that?? Sorry if i'm being dumb at this point0
