Crikey if I was younger I would have played that game. Luckily I am now older, wiser, know my limits and have turned into an old scaredy cat!
  • great game idea betty with one slight drawback, you have to watch the bloody show.!!
I'm going to use your idea though and adapt it for something else :)
The advice I give on here is based on my many years in the preservation industry. I choose to remain anonymous, I have no desire to get work from anyone. No one can give 100% accurate advice on a forum if I get it wrong you'll get a sincere apology and that's all:D

I think x factor has lost the plot, its past it sell by date and should be taken to the scrap yard. why cant the parents/best friends of the contestants be honest with they're kids and say whether they cant sing or not,

    ^ I totally agree.

I don't watch this, but after it has been mentioned in newspapers and the like I thought I'd have a listen. I'm not quite sure why they altered Gamu because I have seen her live and she can sing really well. In fact, the alterations just made her sound worse.
  • I used to enjoy reality shows but they had to keep upping the ante to make them more dramatic I suppose, so I don't watch many now. Can't stand all the sob stories.

Best example of that is Big Brother. I remember being gripped by the first series; interesting but 'normal' people, no ridiculous activities. And the winner - he came out and went mad hugging a Downs syndrome girl and said to her 'you are going to America!'. Turns out she (family friend) needed surgery not available on NHS and he'd promised them the prize money if he won. He didn't mention one word about it during the show. Just a nice guy doing a nice thing quietly. Brings a tear to my eye now - but can you imagine it these days? He would have banged on and on about it and the producers would have milked it for all it was worth, and I'd have switched off!
Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j

OU student: A103 , A215 , A316 all done. Currently A230 all leading to an English Literature degree.

Any advice given is as an individual, not as a representative of my firm.
  • yeah, the levels of drama are on the up, but nothing compared to USA tv :S

    - Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares UK in a nutshell = 'this restaurant is bad, you all suck, a bit of team building, cook something, reopen - yeah, its not quite as bad now'

-Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares USA in a nutshell = 'this restaurant is awful, will gordon save this family from falling apart!? will bob get his confidence back in the kitchen!? the owner is a moron! this is Gordon's biggest challenge yet! will he turn it around before someone dies!?!?!'

its enough to give you a coronory!
