Help am moving house need to get out of Tiscali contract

Hi any suggestions here would be very welcome.

We are about 5/6 months into our Tiscali contract and we are moving house next week.
The house we have bought the previous owners used NTL, there is a BT line there but for cost and ease we want to use the NTL line. Is there any way we can get out of our Tiscali broadband contract?

As we would have another telephone number - we are not taking ours if the worst come to it and they wont cancel could we keep paying for the broadband on out old telephone line without them knowing, bearing in mind BT will disconnect it?
Mr Pandas idea is just to move cancel the direct debit and not tell them - I have firmly told him that is not a good idea!!!

Thank you

If you have a tiscali contract, then I would think you would be best to try to take that in your new place too. A contract is a contract so you would have to look at what happens if you want to cancel early.

At our flat we've been looking at broadband on and off for months but we don't want to sign for 12 months so we never do it (for this sort of reason...)
Indecision is the key to flexibility :)
  • You say that for cost and ease you will use NTL, I think you need to look into that more carefully. There is nothing cheap about phone calls via NTL whereas with BT you can use a CPS.

Your contract with Tiscali will need to be cancelled as will any other utilities at your previous home, you need to call Tiscali and find out how much this will cost you.
