  • Hi L - other thing you can do is start to meal plan and cook batches of food then freeze - this has saved us lots of money and we made 12 signe portions of chicken curry this last weekend for £6. We froze them all but this will do us 6 meals whenever we need them and is healthy-ish as we know there are no additives etc.

    We plan to do the same with spaghetti bolognese - batch cook and make 8 single portions/4 joint meals for just over £5.00, plus the cost of rice.

    You can get lots of good ideas on the Old Style thread in terms of batch cooking and saving money - of course sadly the healthy option sometimes costs more but it'd be worth it as batch cooking will still save you time AND money.
