Wonder_Girl wrote:I found it good to keep a spending diary, every penny that you spend written down, makes you think, did I really need to spend £30 a month on magazines? NO! so now I don’t. we found it was the odd £10 or £20 out of the cash point here and there that was for nothing at all, now we have £10 pocket money a week each

Had to post and say well done-you look fab :T0 -
Wow - look at you! This unaccounted for money each month wouldn't be going on clothes and shoes for the new-look you would it?!
Seriously, though, since you lost so much weight so quickly, I imagine you did/will have to completely replace your wardrobe. Why not get yourself over to the factory outlet shops in Bicester where you can get some great bargains.Debt at highest: £6,290.72 (14.2.1999)

Oh my word, what a transformation. Seriously well done. :T
I third the spending diary thing, however I find it helps putting the spending in before I get to the checkout (in single-ish purchase shops, not Tescos, not good with adding up!!) as it does make me double think - this could be going towards a debt instead.Ciggie free 2am 21/09/06. well done on your weight loss. As said before definately get yourself a little book and log every spend in it - you will soon see where you are frittering away your dosh. I have made some points below on your outgoings that you may be able to make savings on.
£30 a month for my phone bill - is this a mobile ? if so could you get a better deal ?
£18 a month for my contact lenses - dont know much about contact lenses or their costs but I think there is informaion on this website somewhere on how to knock down the costs
£6 a month phone insurance - check to see if this is covered by home insurance
£43 gym membership - can you go to a cheaper gym ?
Oh and as said before if you can balance transfer to a 0% card you would save all that interest every month - I think all of the free balance transfers have now ended so you would have to pay around 2% to do the transfer but that would be saved by not paying interest.

i also wanted to add my "oh my god , you look amazing!" post!
im sure once you get to what you want to be and the lighterlife diet stops, obviously thatll give you some cash. i believe fitness first is a cheaper gym but it depend on if you have a contract which im guessing you do as most do these days!
and yes i think a spending diary type thing is the key. i used to look back at statements and count up how much id spend on amazon, ebay, new look and more importantly take aways!!! that was a bit of a wake up call!!0
