Best iPhone deal

Im looking at upgrading to iPhone 4 and wondered on the best deal?

I want the 16Gb and mainly use internet and texts.

Im sure MSE have worked all this out but im getting the following with 300 mins, unlimited texts etc and web :

Handset : Tarriff : Total

£179 18 x £35 £630 (£809 with iPhone)

£179 24 x £30 £720 (£899 with iPhone)

£119 18 x £40 £720 (£839 with iPhone)

£119 24 x £35 £840 (£959 with iPhone)

Looks like the £35 is a no brainer then (first one) but now have been told that everyone can 'drop' down one tarriff after 9 months!

Is this correct?

On which network? I am always wary of being able to 'drop' a tariff level for two reasons:

1) This policy may change before you reach this point in your contract
2) The next level down tariff may not meet your needs and actually end up costing you more. Tariffs can and do change, so what's available now might not be available in 9/12/x months time.

Better at tesco - £20 a month 250 minutes Unlimited texts, 1gb data 12 Months contract, £349 for iPhone 4 16gb
