can somebody trace your mobile number
just a question for my in laws.
They have been having a few unregistered numbers on their mobile phone and wanting to know can this person who is making the calls find out their personal details. ie. name, address and so forth.
they have blocked any unregistered numbers and don't really want to talk to this person. They got a rough idea who it isbut their concern is them not knowing where they live.
Any help would be great to pass on.

Even if the person calling was able to find out which network the number belonged to, the mobile company would be in serious breach of data protection if they were to divulge any personal information without permission.
If the calls are a problem and have been reported to the police, a crime reference number could be obtained and a new number issued free of charge.0 -
Via a mobile telephone number, there isn't much chance of a trace, unless laws were broken by the network provider.
There are other ways to get someone's address, however.0 -

My in laws did ring their mobile company and they said exactly the same . What was upsetting her is the fact that there is so much on the internet these days that they could find a way.??:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0 -

it means they are ex directoryReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0 -
If they are ex-directory on the telephone database and they have opted to be on the edited electoral roll, which means they will not show on 192.com and such databases which use the electoral roll - they should be harder to trace by legal means.0
