After o2 didn't offer me anything worth while ive cancelled my contract with them.

Im now looking for a good/cheap deal from £10-£15. I mainly use the internet and text so ideally:

-Not on a contract.
-Free data
-Free minutes (not a lot though)
-Free Text.

The best ive seen so far is o2 100mins, unlimited text & 500mb data, which is £15 p/m

Thanks to all

  • If you want data, your best bet is Three (provided the network works in your area). They do a very good £10 package (clicky)

    Thanks for that, looks interesting.

How does a 1 month rolling contract work? I assume its a direct debit, and you can cancel it anytime, hassle free?
  • Yes, you've got to give 30 days notice with Three, though.

Consider joining GiffGaff. For £10 a month (by buying a 'GoodyBag'), you get 100 mins, unlimited texts, and truly unlimited data (no cap or fair usage policy). For £15 a month, you get the same but with 300 minutes instead of 100. Leave whenever you want - no tie ins, as it is effectively pay as you go.

They have O2 coverage, very good value too. ;)

    Giffgaff sounds better.

Is it counted as its 'own' network? I see its based on the o2 network, but im thinking about when someone from an o2 phone calls me, as they have free o2 to o2 calls, i assume it would not count?

Does anybody want to gain referal points if I go for it?

    thanks again

You've got it right - unfortunately, o2 to o2 calls won't count when made from an o2 phone to a GiffGaff one.

Although, if you convert them to a GiffGaffer (for which both you and them get a bit of cash for), you can benefit from unlimited free calls to each other, as long as you both top up every 3 months.
