Adsl Broadband Availability Check - What Does This Mean??

Hi just been on Samknows.com website to see if sky broadband was in my area and this message was on the Bt ADSL broadband availability page:-
You are approximately 1.38km from the exchange (straight line distance).
There appears to a compatibility issue with your phone line. This could be caused by an existing DSL connection, ISDN, a DACS unit, TPON, a pending ADSL order or many other common issues. This will need to be resolved before ADSL can be supplied to your line.
Your BT ADSL code is: GEGEGEC
What exactly does this mean? and is this why my internet connection is so so bad - disconnects constantly during the day and won't connect after 8pm!!!
Please help!!

the code is linked to a series of indicators, and G could be green... however... your actual results for bt based broadband are above the distance thing you posted above
but for sky... you need to click on the LLU xDSL tab (make sure you have entered your postcode)... Sky bought EasyNet last year, so make sure that this provide is green, as I would imagine that this will be their carrier.0
