What do you mean by a disposable account?
OPened purely to scam, maybe using an address they then move on from. As long as they can take money for a few months until they get caught it is worth the hassle of using an account on a temporary basis.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. gab-42....sorry to hear you have also been scammed. I had no way of getting the money back from paypal, but my bank account that i transferred the money from (alliance & leister) were really great and refunded the money into my account so i was able to pay back the buyers. Don't know if its worth contacting your bank (if you transferred money to this comepany from a bank online)
After weeks, i have only just got the whole thing sorted out - i have also claimed back my ebay and paypal fees.0 -
The company address is correct - but the police at my end checked it out and reported back to me that 'tina' is using this company as a front and they apparently know nothing of it. Also the number she was contacting me on was traced to somewhere around khazikstan or somewhere similar - the number had been rerouted.0

This has also happened to me 2 weeks ago. I am positive this is the same people. The company was Technoquick and the contact was Tara.
Technoquick
3 Saddlers Mews
Kent
08713155257
I applied for this Job in November through the Jobcentre and received call from Tara on the 25th Feb. When I realised what happened I called Jobcentre and they advised the Job vacancy was removed in January due to the fact the company was BOGUS but negelcted to tell the 300+ people that applied. I have contacted Police and Trading Standards and nobody can help me. I am now liable for £2500. If this has happened to anyone or can offer me any advice plese send me a message.

I have also been scammed by this so called company Technoquick who advertised the job through jobseekers direct (job centre website). They called me in December as Giftland, said they would send me 5 listings for that night but then did not call until end Feb this year. When they did I googled them to see if there was anything wrong with them. They had a registered address in Kent, 3 Saddlers Mews, a company ID that seems to exist and a customer services number. They are also known as Quick Tech Solutions. I could not find anything wrong with them and since it was advertised through the job centre I trusted it was ok.
Tara sent me a total of 30 listings in less than a week. I was selling Tria and No No hair removals and Klipsch ear buds for iPod. Tara sent me and Ebay product sheet that I had to update every day with sales. This sheet deducted my 10% commission, Ebay and Paypal fees and their profit. I paid £1000 into the Barclays account (I got a name for the owner of this account). I was suppossed to pay £4500 but luckily a little voice told me not to pay all this in one go. I said to Tara I would pay the rest once I heard from customers receiving their items. She gave me 9 tracking numbers. When I received the first complaint from a customer that he had received an empty envelope I emailed Tara then phoned her and she said her supplier had mixed up the tracking numbes and gave me a new tracking number. I checked this on Royal Mail and seemed to be ok but I still refused to pay the rest of the balance and she kept emailing me demanding payment.
Once the second buyer also complained suddenly the website went offline, the telephone number went on voicemail. I asked one of the buyers to email me a picture of empty envelope. It was a plain brown envelope with the recorded delivery sticker matching the number I had but no return address or company logo. Now I am short £1000. I have spent the last 2 weeks refunding everyone and I am not finished yet. I have had Ebay and Paypal case after case against me. My Paypal and Ebay accounts have been suspended and Paypal does not want to reinstate my account.
I have reported the issue to the police. I have contacted BBC The One Show Programme. A researcher called Anna phoned me to find out more and said she could not promise me this would be aired on TV. It all depends on their own investigations. So, if all of you affected can email or call The One Show please do so. I would love to see these people stopped. Please contact me if you want to join forces. I have found out the registered owner of technoquick.com owns another 25 websites so for sure he is doing this to a lot other people now. I want them caught

I really hope that The One Show do take up this story as the publicity might shame the Police and Job Centre into finally taking some action.
So please, please contact The One Show and/or Anna if you've been scammed by these people. The more who do so, the more chance that these disgusting scammers will be stopped.
princess - please let us know what happens and if the story will be featured on the programme. I'd dearly love to see the scammers get their comeuppance.0 -
Hey Guys,
I too have been a victim of this scam. I'm so glad I'm not alone, although I am sorry that you have all gone through the same as me! My name is Hayley Lamb, I sign on a Romford jobcentre and I got caught up in all this in March. Since then I have been fighting Ebay and Paypal in an epic battle of wits and wills! If you are in this situation, and you need help or advice please see the Consumer Action Group website and search for the thread: Ebay/Paypal Scam Debt - Please Help!. I have just posted some info for others who were/are claiming at the time they applied for this job! CBA to write it all out again so I just posted the link, hope thats ok! Have contacted Watchdog, TS and OFT, and a friend on the above forum has got some media journalists interested. EVERYONE WE CAN GET TO COME FORWARD AND SHARE THEIR STORY HELPS! So please, get in touch!0 -
Whilst the worst scumbags are the scammers in the first place, those idiots at the Job Centre who do not remove job adverts which have already proven to be fraudulent also need a big kick up the bum. I really hope that all of this publicity comes off, because that might force something to be done about it.
Good luck with your case, and to anyone else who has suffered at the hands of these scammers.
Please give us an update if you get further news. I'd love to be able to either read an article in a national newspaper or see a TV investigative programme dealing with this. The more publicity to warn other potential victims, the better.0
