My daughter is off to Paris with her boyfriend for the weekend next week. Knowing my DD2 as I do (and her boyfriend) they will have lost their passports before they get on the plane. My heart is in my mouth at the thought of them going but I have to let them go. She is 17 and I know whatever happens she will be fine.
Now if it was Nats that would be a different story. She may have a baby and come across as being dead grown up and everything but she doesn't go anywhere without her mother...:rotfl:
Bunny - I MISS YOU TOO....I wish I could have come today sob! Spud, I get lost every time I go to Bunny's...weird streets.....
Aww wow, I wish I'd been to Paris with a boyfriend when I was 17. Or anywhere, for that matter. I lost my passport when I went to Venice. I ran like a headless chicken back into the loos, nearly started crying when it wasn't there, then found it in my pocket.Oh and I also had to coach Natalie through an online AAT exam...she is sitting the last one in the foundation module tomorrow and if she fails it she can't do the intermediate in September so fingers crossed.....
She is having a slight meltdown!
Bunny starting college in September....why on earth does this remind me of a scene from Grease!
At least it wasn't a scene from Dirty Dancing...Bunnyinthelights wrote: »Buffy-my BFF is in Canada and we hardly talk or email or anything but when we saw each other in Florida, it was like old times-it was exactly like how we left things...She has 3 kids now and works full time and has quite a high powered, demanding job and yet we still love each other and NEVER moan at each about how crap each other are (because basically, we just accept that thats the way it is)
Now, I am so so tired I am falling asleep at the table. I love you all.
My son has been a 1 man walking destruction zone the past couple of days and I am my wits end-every room I go into he has cause some chaos-case in point-the 1 litre bottle of vimto he 'decanted' into a container to make some juice...you can imagine my kitchen...go into hallway and there are muddy footprints leading back and forth to my kitchen...where I find MUD all over my new cupboards...which leads to me to the garden where the little shoite has taken my BEST measuring jug, filled it with MUD (and a dinosaur) and left it in the garden...the handles to my front door, and the door are COVERED in mud...I go up to his bedroom and he has pulled all of his drawers out so he can play under his bed...honest to GOD. And all of this was doen QUIETLY and COVERTLY so I never knew the little !!!!er was destroying my house...
So, they'll be kicked out to the park again tomorrow?
I know I'm talking to myself, but I've been over on DT and someone posted a link to a volunteering 'jobs' site, and I've applied for another committee membership. :j It's a theatre group and the management committee meet a few hundred yards from my door. :T I think I've got the skills they want, I hope so, it'd be perfect for me, and I need something to do since I can't do an A level.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
i'm still here Ames, just had pb&j on toast, and watching Armstrong & Miller show.
what would you have to do on the committee?Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!

I've never had peanut butter and jam together, I just can't imagine it being very nice. I'm starting to feel hungry again though, just had a sandwich and angel delight for tea, and the eggs are calling...
It's just the management committee, so oversee things, approve changes and budgets, make sure that it fulfils it's mission statement and the charity commission's rules etc. It's what I do with the other charity at the moment, but since they meet less than once a month it's not too much of a commitment, although there's always the opportunity to get more involved, and then less involved, as my health fluctuates.
Anyway, I'm going to read a bit before bed, night xUnless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
