Morning all
Very wet here this morning. Just getting sorted for work - I have LO lasagne for lunch and DS1 has just made his pack-up.
I have a couple of MS jobs after work so I'll get DH to do the kids some dinner and I'll do fajitas for us 'grown-ups' when I get in.
Have been having a bit of a 'do' since about Thursday and have been very sore. Would have liked not to have gone in to work today but my Boss has very little empathy for me being ill. I'll just sit at my desk and cry
DS1 did lots of housework for me yesterday so downstairs, the bathroom and hall/landing are all clean & tidy. Must think about getting the rollers out as the wall in the hall and up the stairs are beyond cleaning! But I want to get a washable paint this time.
Right thats me - need some brekkie xClimbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

Urgh, bit rough today. I couldn't sleep for ages last night as I didn't feel well, think it was just too hot and sticky. Then when I did get a couple of hours it was full of bad dreams. Hope I can get a better night tonight.0

Don't worry about stripping the beds; that's a real help. Those guests actually washed and dried them as well! Seriously thinking about the chooks - I just love watching other people's! At the moment, our neighbouring farm has four calves in the field, along with their mums. They think they're spring lambs - one of them just doesn't stop running around, and keeps distracting me from my work! He looks completely mad!
Your chest of drawers is fabulous, by the way; you'e done a great job on them!

Bargain Bird - we won a free family ticket to the York dungeons and have a 6yr old and a 4 1/2 yr old to take - do you think this would be OK?

Morning all - have only two weeks left until the end of school hols. So am starting today to get the children back into routines and normal bedtimes. First thing first, we're cleaning the house - everytime they do a job, they'll get a small sweet.. (requested by DS1)
The smiley that is! Have looked on L'land site and ordered some containers that will keep their dinners warm so I can continue to send them in sandwiches or the like. Luckily they were on sale
Dinner tonight is roast rubber chicken with potatoes from the garden and veggies from the freezer. Have york puds too - so am going on the ancient ways of lots of yorkshires, less meat!! Then the chicken will go further. Tomorrow will then be chicken curry with lots of veg in. Right, better go and get dressed then
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -
Morning to everyone, been mia for a good few months, life has been very very hectic this summer, but today is a good day as my girlfriend goes back to work part-time after being off with stress :j
Nice day up here at Inverness, bit cloudy but dry.

didn't get time to post since saturday morning due to work. Working again later too for 11 hours but then have 2 days off.
Bargainbird - fab chest of drawers!:T
we had some good news over the weekend.
DS2 finally got his results and he's passed his National Diploma in Media Production:j:j:j some of you may remember how much he struggled(and us;):D) with many a night sat up all night working on it so we are all delighted and relieved that he's passed.
Am taking some HM veggie soup to work for my lunch, tea there is macaroni cheese(yum yum). DS and DH are fending for themselves from the freezer.
Have left DS to change hs bed and clean his room today plus do the drying up later on.
Its my sisters birthday today(47) - we're off out to lunch on Wednesday(my treat to her as she doesn't want anything).
Just had a coffee with Mum as she's off to Truro later for the week to stop with her brother - they're going to The Minnack Theatre so she's packed her waterproofs:D
hope you all have a great day xDo what you love :happyhear0 -

Thanks for starting today's thread, Hardup Hester.
All the best for Uni, lucylollipop. I'm expecting my next lot of OU books to arrive sometime this week so am also excited
Sorry you didn't sleep well, CupOfChai. I think we've seen the last of the hot weather for a bit so here's hoping tonight's better for you.
The lurgy continues to lurk and it's a dull, wet day in Glasgow so I'm not in the cheeriest of moods. However. Need to get the house cleaner-ready today and then menu-plan and do the shopping list ready for tomorrow. After that, I'm going to put my feet up!Household: Laura + William-cat

Morning all
Washing on the line - not forecast rain until this afternoon so fingers crossed it'll dry. Just took rainbow trout out of freezer for tea - Mr T's whoops reduced to £1.20. Am supposed to be braving the shoe shop for DS's school shoes but don't know if I feel that brave yet.;)
esmf73 - we were in York the other day in the tourist info place and the woman in there was saying it was quite frightening - mine are 11 and 6 and don't think I would take them but then I'm a complete wimp, I'm still traumatised from the Madame Tussauds 'scary' bit as a child:o Does it say anything on the website about ages?0
